Year Round Boarding

Legacy Springs Farm is located on 92 beautiful acres on the northern side of Lexington, Kentucky, approximately 12 minutes from the Kentucky Horse Park, 20 minutes from Keeneland and 10 minutes from an indoor year round equine swimming pool.  We have 14 large 11' x 14' rubber-matted stalls, a gated entrance for security, a 70' x 200' insulated & irrigated indoor arena, a 160' x 385' grass outdoor arena, a 60' x 53' covered round pen, daily turnout on grass pastures and an individualized program for your horse's needs.  We have over 40 years of experience handling and caring for Thoroughbreds of all ages and temperaments.  Our goal is for your horse to be safe, healthy and strong for racing, breeding or whatever discipline you choose to participate in.

Sales Prep

Are you hoping for the best selling price your young horse can bring?  Let Ben Tucker help you achieve those goals!  With many years of experience in bringing weanlings, yearlings and broodmares to the Thoroughbred Sales such as Keeneland, Fasig-Tipton and Saratoga, he knows the best techniques for getting horses looking and behaving beautifully so they will show their best for a sale.  The right diet and exercise program will help achieve those goals.

Foaling & Breeding Services

Broodmares and newborn foals are in good hands here!  Don't exhaust yourself every night waiting for a new foal to arrive... We can do all of it for you.   Bring your pregnant mare 14 days prior to her due date and we'll watch her around the clock until she foals.  We will handle all of your mare's needs during the foaling process, the after foaling care of your mare and newborn foal, and even take care of the new year's breeding process for you if you'd like, including arranging the breeding shed runs and transportation to and from.  Mares and foals are watched very carefully every day and if there are any complications that arise, they are managed immediately for the best health of the mare and foal.

Layups, Surgery and Injury Aftercare, Neonatal Critical Care

We also offer boarding with specialty equine services such as the individual needs of horses with long term injuries, necessary critical care and intense medical therapy and rehabilitation.  Recoveries can take some time and we plan to help your horse recover to it's fullest potential.

Equine Dental Services

Ben is available for farm calls to help identify poor teeth conditions which could contribute to other health issues, to remove wolf teeth prior to riding age, and to float your horse's teeth for a better chewing surface.
